At Trinity St Mary’s, it is our aim to instill a life-long appreciation of Science in our pupils. We believe that children should have an understanding of how science has changed our lives in the past and how it is vital to a prosperous future. We provide a rich and varied curriculum, which both challenges and meets the needs of our children. The skills and knowledge that form the foundation of children’s science learning in Early Years and KS1 is built upon throughout the school, so that when children leave us, they are equipped with the ability to explain, investigate and question natural phenomena. Where possible, links are made to other subjects, in line with our creative curriculum approach to planning and we provide children with wider opportunities to explore science through the implementation of clubs and extra-curricular events.
