Starting Reception

If your child is due to start Reception, applications are made through your home local authority.
Step 1: Come and visit us - Attend an Open Day or arrange a school tour.
Step 2: Read our admissions information - Take a look at our current Admissions Policy and admissions criteria below.
Step 3: Apply through your local authority - Complete your primary school application through the council where you live.
Step 4: Choose Trinity St Mary’s - Include TSM among your school preferences on your application.
Applying for a Reception Place
Applications for Reception places should be made through the Local Authority for the borough in which you live, even if you are applying to a school outside your borough. We warmly welcome prospective parents and carers to contact the school office to find out more about our Reception provision, arrange a visit and experience the TSM community in person.
As a Church of England school, we welcome families of all faiths and of no faith.
If you are applying for a Reception place at TSM, we ask families to complete our Religious Affiliation Form. This helps us understand the faith backgrounds represented within our school community. Please complete the form below and return it to the school.
The information you provide on this form does not form part of our admissions criteria and will not affect whether your child is offered a place at TSM.

Reception Appeals
Parents and carers who are not offered a Reception place have the right to appeal to an independent appeals panel. Information regarding the appeals process and timelines can be found in our admissions arrangements below.
