  • Governors at TSM

At Trinity St Mary’s, our Governing Body plays an important role in supporting the school to provide the very best education and care for every child. Working closely with school leaders, staff, parents and the wider community, our Governors help ensure that our Christian vision and values remain at the heart of everything we do.

Guided by our vision of “Nurturing minds, Filling hearts, Flourishing together,” our Governors are committed to helping every child feel safe, valued and inspired to achieve their full potential. Safeguarding, wellbeing and high-quality education are central to all aspects of their work.

A Strong Partnership for Our Children

Our governors work collaboratively with school leaders to support:

    • High standards of teaching and learning
    • Children’s wellbeing, safety and personal development
    • A nurturing and inclusive school environment
    • Financial stability and future growth
    • The continued development of our Christian ethos and values

Their dedication helps ensure Trinity St Mary’s remains a school where children flourish academically, socially and spiritually.

    Our Governing Body

The Board of Governors is made up of a wide range of experienced and committed individuals who bring valuable skills and perspectives to the school community. Governors include representatives from the church, parents, staff, the local authority and the Diocese.

This broad range of experience allows the Governing Body to support and challenge the school effectively while always keeping the best interests of the children at the centre of decision-making.

    Our Strategic Vision

At Trinity St Mary’s, we want every child to leave our school with confidence, ambition and the skills needed to thrive in the future. We aim for our pupils to become compassionate, respectful and positive contributors to society who live out shared moral values and care for others.

Together, the school and Governing Body work towards this by:

    • Promoting our Christian vision and values
    • Providing outstanding pastoral care for children and families
    • Encouraging leadership, ambition and resilience
    • Supporting continuous learning for all
    • Investing in a high-quality learning environment
    • Promoting wellbeing across the whole school community
    • Ensuring financial stability for the future
    • Striving to remain a school of choice within the local community
    Working Together with Families

We value the important partnership between school and home and encourage parents and carers to engage with the work of the Governing Body. Governors regularly visit the school, attend events and work closely with staff to understand and celebrate school life.

If parents wish to contact the Governor's or request copies of non-confidential Governor's minutes, they can do so through the school office or via:
