This week, some of our wonderful Eco Council members took part in a very special project to celebrate an inspiring milestone. Supported by TSM’s site manager, Mr Deeley, the children planted a beautiful cherry blossom tree to commemorate Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday, which took place on 8th May 2026.

The Eco Council were excited to help plant the tree and learn more about the importance of caring for our environment. Cherry blossom trees are a symbol of hope, renewal and nature’s beauty, making it a perfect way to honour Sir David Attenborough and his lifelong dedication to protecting our planet.

The children worked together brilliantly, showing teamwork, responsibility and enthusiasm throughout the activity. We hope the tree will continue to grow and flourish for many years to come, serving as a lasting reminder of the importance of looking after the world around us.

A huge thank you to Mr Deeley for supporting the children with this meaningful project, and well done to our Eco Council for representing the school so positively.
