TSM Pupils Chosen to be Published in Roald Dahl Writing Competition

Twenty one KS2 pupils have been chosen to be published following their entries into the Young Writers Phizz-Whizzing Words competition.  Pupils were asked to write their own short stories or poems in the style of Roald Dahl in celebration of his birthday last September.  These twenty one pupils have now been invited to get their writing published – an exciting and impressive achievement!  Well done to all!

Young Writers aims to encourage young people to engage in creative writing.  They run several competitions throughout the year aimed at different age groups.

We will be running an assembly when the children's work has been published so we can celebrate this amazing achievement.

TSM's Carols by Candlelight service

St Mary's Church looked amazing on Thursday 7th December.  We lit candles around the church and sang traditional Christmas carols together. Thank you to Father Robert and the many helpers at the Church who worked very hard organising the event. Thank you to the PTA for donating and organising the hot chocolate and candy canes.

Christingle Service at Westminster Abbey

On Friday 1st December 30 KS2 children braved the cold weather and travelled to Westminster Abbey to take part in Christingle. Each child received a Christingle and we spread our lights around the Abbey. The children were extremely well behaved and their behaviour and beautiful singing was commented on. Well done to all those who took part, you are a credit to TSM.

Hispanic Day 2017

We celebrated Spain's National Day on 12th October by dressing in yellow or red clothes. Each class looked at a different Spanish speaking country and researched it. Children in EYFS got to take a swing at a pinata! Other classes created flags of their countries and all classes had a Spanish lesson on Columbus.
