Easter Bonnet competiton
It was lovely to see so many Easter Bonnets this year. Everyone had worked really hard on their designs and the finished products were fantastic. The children enjoyed parading around the hall  and the judges had a tough time choosing one winner for each category.

Year 2's visit to a care home
Year 2 visited a local care home to deliver hand painted Easter flower pots. The children had carefully painted the wonderful pots and planted some flowers in them to then share with the residents. The residents, children and staff had a wonderful time!!

Writing Superstar!
Congratulations to Hannah in Year 6 for getting her poem published after entering a competition! Her amazing poem called 'Change' is a beautiful poem which can be seen below. Well done Hannah!

Christmas at TSM
Thank to you to all the children, staff and parent helpers who made Christmas once again so wonderful at TSM. We were able to support Ella's Home, have Christmas events throughout December and the Church shared Christmas with us and bought each class an advent calendar.

Christingle Service at Westminster Abbey
Miss Keys, Mr Reid, Vikki and Lisa had an amazing time taking children to Westminster Abbey for the 50th Christingle Service. Four of the Year 5 children were chosen to read a case study of a child who had been helped by the Children's society. The children read beautifully and made TSM proud.

Balham Lights

It was amazing to see so many of our parents and children at this year's Balham Lights event. The choir sang two songs at the event which was broadcasted by Wandsworth Radio. Both songs sounded amazing! Well done to the choir and to Miss Anderson and Mr Goddard for all their hard work.

TSM Remembers 11/11/1914-11/11/2018

At TSM we ensured that all children were involved in remembering WW1 and the brave soldiers who fought and died so we may be free. Children painted stones with poppies on them, we held a church service and many children and staff attended Sunday's Balham Remembers event at Bedford Hill.

Bonfire Disco and Fireworks

It was a lovey evening to have a Bonfire Disco and fireworks! Thank you the chidren who attended, the staff who supported and Mr Deeley & Mr Goddard who ran the fireworks!

Animal Blessing Service

Thank you to the parents/carers of children who bought their family pets to out first everessing service. The whole school gatherd together to praise and give thanks for God's creatures. We had dogs, hamster and even a tortoise!


MacMillan Coffee Afternoon

Thank you to all parents/carers who donated their time, money and/or cakes. Everyone had a fantastic time! We raised £127.


International Afternoon 14th September 2018

A huge thank you to all the parents/carers who attended our 1st International Afternoon. It was amazing to see all of the learning that had taken place on each class' country.



Update after our closures

Dear Parents/Carers,  thank you for your patience whilst the school was temporarily closed these last 2 days.  We have re-arranged events starting with World Book Day this Friday 9th March.  Details of this and other events are as follows:

Reading in strange places

​​For children participating in the WBD reading in strange places please send photos to no later than Thursday 8th March.

World Book Day - Friday 9th March

Children are invited to dress up in costumes from their favourite reading book

Parents are invited to attend a special assembly at 8.55 am in the hall where there will be a fancy dress parade and prizes.

At 2.30pm parents are invited to come into their child/ren's class and read with them

Vanessa Woolf Reading - Monday 12th March

Vanessa Woolf will be coming into school on this and storytelling with the children.

Movie Night - Monday 12th March

Tickets purchased already are still valid for the event.  Tickets are still available at the office at £2.50 which includes popcorn and a drink.

Candlemas Service

Father Robert and St. Mary's Church invite families to their family Christingle Service on Sunday 28th January at 5pm to celebrate the light of Christ. All ages are welcome.

TSM Pupils Chosen to be Published in Roald Dahl Writing Competition

Twenty one KS2 pupils have been chosen to be published following their entries into the Young Writers Phizz-Whizzing Words competition.  Pupils were asked to write their own short stories or poems in the style of Roald Dahl in celebration of his birthday last September.  These twenty one pupils have now been invited to get their writing published – an exciting and impressive achievement!  Well done to all!

Young Writers aims to encourage young people to engage in creative writing.  They run several competitions throughout the year aimed at different age groups.

We will be running an assembly when the children's work has been published so we can celebrate this amazing achievement.

TSM's Carols by Candlelight service

St Mary's Church looked amazing on Thursday 7th December.  We lit candles around the church and sang traditional Christmas carols together. Thank you to Father Robert and the many helpers at the Church who worked very hard organising the event. Thank you to the PTA for donating and organising the hot chocolate and candy canes.

Christingle Service at Westminster Abbey

On Friday 1st December 30 KS2 children braved the cold weather and travelled to Westminster Abbey to take part in Christingle. Each child received a Christingle and we spread our lights around the Abbey. The children were extremely well behaved and their behaviour and beautiful singing was commented on. Well done to all those who took part, you are a credit to TSM.

Hispanic Day 2017

We celebrated Spain's National Day on 12th October by dressing in yellow or red clothes. Each class looked at a different Spanish speaking country and researched it. Children in EYFS got to take a swing at a pinata! Other classes created flags of their countries and all classes had a Spanish lesson on Columbus.
